Ukraine has not been invited to the upcoming US-Russia talks, reportedly set to take place next week in Saudi Arabia, according to FOX journalist Nana Sajaia.
Sajaia cited a senior Ukrainian official who stated that Ukraine was "neither invited to nor informed about" the planned discussions.
US-Russia Meeting in Saudi Arabia
On February 15, Politico reported that former US President Donald Trump’s team would initiate Russian-Ukrainian peace negotiations in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier today, Bloomberg confirmed that senior US and Russian officials are scheduled to meet there next week.
Additionally, on February 13, Trump himself claimed that representatives from the US, Ukraine, and Russia would be meeting in Saudi Arabia.
However, a source within the Ukrainian presidential team told RBC-Ukraine that Ukraine has no plans for negotiations in Saudi Arabia next week.
Notably, Saudi Arabia recently expressed its willingness to host a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed the rumors of talks in Saudi Arabia, stating that "this is not a serious discussion."
